Hi I’m Al-Pal!

I am a British-based abstract artist, who is turned 40 in August this year. Yes, that makes me a Leo and if you are interested in star signs I certainly live up to my sign. Stylecraze.com defines Leo traits as, a lioness, the powerhouse of the zodiac, radiates loyalty, boldness, creativity, and courage. A queen powered by the Sun, the Leo woman is confident and assertive'. This pretty much sums me up, but I would add that I am a chilled out person who loves to laugh and have fun. You will quite ofton find me me crying with laughter....... mainly with the Sister. I stay away from negative vibes as I have a positive mindset and I surround myself with likeminded people to ensure life is enjoyable as can be.  

 

I have been through many valleys and hills throughout my life. However, I have an optimistic outlook on life. I truly believe that the rain is sent to help us grow and the life experience I already have has made me the strong courageous person I am today. I will share as I start to create more blogs.  

 

I am blessed to have the most beautiful friends and family who I spend most of my time with and a wonderful four-legged baby, a miniature labradoodle. All bring so much love and laughter to my life. Family are everything!  

I enjoy travelling and exploring new places to visit, places where I can gain inspiration and ofcourse eat, drink and swim in the sea. I love to be grounded, barefoot on the grass looking up at the sun nestled in a blue-sky dazzling on the places below. And the moon, it is facinating how we all see the same peaceful and calm moon, which can shine so bright it lights up the dark night sky . I love sunsets and sunrises, I can’t decide which I prefer more each bring a different feeling. Maybe I will create a poll for social media and see what your favourite is? 

 

I am at my happiest when I am surrounded by my friends, family, nature, and animals and of course painting and creating whilst listening to music.

All pieces are inspired by a variety of topics such as nature’s beauty, colours, movement, music, fashion, travel, and the journey of life.  

As my star sign suggests I am powered by the sun, I create a lot more when the sun is shining, and the birds are singing. I have recognised that when I paint in the winter months my colour pallet automatically switches to darker colours. 

 

As I move through my journey of life, which brings me happiness and joy but also pains and stresses I use my art as a form of expression. It’s my creative outlet and allows me to channel my emotions into paintings and creating. 

 

With the above in mind, I paint with expression, all pieces showcase my feelings at that moment in time, they are all personal and unique. All pieces are individual and do not follow the same approach, therefore I like to think I have a style that suits everyone. 

 

My art is created by applying various layers and experimenting with colours, movement and composition which in turn creates a unique & individual piece of art, meaning no piece will ever be the same. 

 

As everyone's perception is different, I love to listen to the findings and visual impact that each viewer finds in the painitngs. 

All the pieces can be enjoyed timelessly & something new can be found depending on the viewer's inward state of mind.
